Sapphire was launched in Southampton at the end of Sept 2011. Here are some photos from that weekend. We didn’t smash a bottle of Champagne off the hull but instead chucked a generous amount into the water, off the bow, for Neptune.
The galley – there is a freezer on board, so some cooking is done ashore and stored for those days when cooking at sea is a hassle.
Plenty of space up top – and an amazing heatwave for 1st Oct!
“My” cabin – the challenge will be to have it looking as neat as this after I’ve moved myself in – lock, stock and barrell. However, after the first time something comes hurtling at my head in the middle of the night, I’ll learn to stow properly.

Take me!
Harrumph.
